EXPERIENCE

More than twenty seven (27) years of automotive design, engineering, and CATIA training experience, including the following:

  • PLASTICS: door trim panels, bezels, center console, garnish moldings, instrument panel, composite headlamp, BOSE speaker enclosures, HVAC duct work, etc.

  • RESTRAINTS: (9 years exp.) Packaging of 3 points manual belt systems (Fisher Body, CPC), design and engineering of 2 point power passive belt system (Saturn Corp., GM), packaging of air bag module and sensors. Design of safety related mechanisms, anchor reinforcements, door beams and knee bolsters.

  • STRUCTURES: body-in-white (exterior steel body panels, "A" pillar, roof rail, "B" pillar, rockers, cross members, floor pan); instrument panel (knee bolster, end caps, air bag mounting bracket); seat belt components (retractor brackets, buckle assy, lock-box, latch); door side intrusion beams.

  • PACKAGING: instrument panel assy components, composite headlamp assy, BOSE speaker enclosures, manual and automatic seat belt systems and their components, HVAC controls, air bag module and sensors.

  • ROLL FORM: door glass guide channels, lift-plates, trim retainer, cross members.

  • DESIGN LEADER: design and packaging of automotive audio components; design and packaging of seat belt systems and components; design and packaging of heavy-duty truck components.

  • PRODUCT ENGINEERING: 2 point power passive and 3 point manual restraint (seat belt) systems, body-in-white structural space frame (aluminum) and exterior panels (aluminum).

  • ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT: managed group of engineers and designers engaged in the design and engineering of roll-formed, and stamped automotive components.

  • ENGINEERING CONSULTANT: assist Chrysler Corp. tier 1 and 2 suppliers in development of Product Engineering and CAD departments, assist in achieving QS9000 and ISO9000 ratings, provide CATIA and Chrysler Supplier 2000 training and support.

  • CATIA INSTRUCTOR: teaching basic and advanced CATIA and providing support since 1987.

  • DAA INSTRUCTOR: trained Design Analysis Assurance checkers for GM Truck and Bus.
