CATIA® is a registered trademark of Dassault Systemes and has no affiliation with Practical Catia Training. ABOUT THE CHILDRESS FAMILY
I (Keith Childress) began providing CATIA training to fellow designers and engineers in 1986 while I was employed as a Lead Designer at Saturn Corp.. In 1995 my partner and I established our Practical Catia Training school and have been providing CATIA training longer than any other training organization in the USA. We began offering CATIA V5 training in 2001 and to the best of our knowledge we were the first training organization in the state of Michigan to offer CATIA V5 training. My eldest son Adam joined our family's school after graduating from high school in 2000. He was followed by my youngest son Todd a few years later. Adam and Todd worked with me as Assistant Instructors before being promoted to the position of Instructor, responsible for teaching their own classes. In addition to providing CATIA training, Adam and Todd both work in the design/engineering profession using the CATIA software. My middle son Aaron worked as an Assistant Instructor for a while, but decided to peruse a different career path. I'm proud to say that Aaron is enjoying a successful career in his chosen profession. Brandan Worley joined our family's school in 2005. Brandon grew up with my sons and has been like a son to me for the past 25 years. When Brandon showed an interest in learning CATIA, my sons and I took him under our wing and taught him to use the CATIA software. Brandon worked with my son Adam as an Assistant Instructor for a few years before being promoted to Instructor, responsible for teaching his own classes. In addition to providing CATIA training, Brandon used his experience teaching the CATIA software to land a job as a designer. Brandon's experience as a designer allows him to teach the CATIA software from a designers perspective. Together, my sons and I developed and continue to refine our Practical Catia Training course. We refer to our course as Practical Catia Training because it is based on our practical use of the CATIA software in the automotive and aerospace design and engineering profession over the past 25 years.
Disclaimer: The Practical Catia Training course is not offered as vocational training or as qualifying one for any particular employment. There are no course credits transferable to any accredited educational institution. |
